Your Voice for a Thriving Tega Cay

PURPOSEFUL LEADERSHIP

Hello Tega Cay!

I’m Carmen Miller and I thank you for your support.  I’m proud and excited to be one of your Tega Cay Council Members. I am ready to make a positive difference in leading our community.

My husband Scott and I have raised our family here, we are proud to call Tega Cay home for the past 18 plus years. Like many of you, we drove into Tega Cay and knew that it was exactly where we wanted to plant our roots. We discovered a place filled with a sense of community that is rare, a safe place to raise our family, a small beautiful city with the promise of the Good Life.

As a successful small business owner, I’ve learned the value of focused and strategic decision-making. I bring this experience to the table, contributing a business perspective to our city council’s short term and long term decisions.

One of my strengths lies in finding common ground, and while I believe that we are better when we come together as a community, I am not afraid to make difficult decisions.

As your City Council Member, I will be dedicated to purposeful leadership in prioritizing and preserving the quality of life we treasure, while ensuring a thriving and financially sustainable Tega Cay.

The promise and vision of Tega Cay is in living the Good Life. Many of us have  chosen to live here because of that vision. As a member of City Council I plan to prioritize our resident’s quality of life and safety over non-resident public access. I will  work to bring commitment and visibility to maintaining all our existing infrastructure, parks, trails and playgrounds, especially our older facilities.

The largest source for revenue are property taxes; Tega Cay has a limited opportunity to expand that revenue. Implementing purposeful commercial development that preserves a strong tax base is essential for ensuring the long-term financial stability of Tega Cay.

I will prioritize ensuring that today’s financial decisions support our city’s long-term economic security and focus on finding opportunities to decrease unnecessary wasteful spending.

I ask for your support and welcome the opportunity for conversation. Together, we can create a future that preserves the Tega Cay we fell in love with and embraces the opportunities of tomorrow.
